Tobago Library Services commemorates World Book and Copyright Day
April 18, 2016: With the current economic challenges facing Trinidad and Tobago, it’s even more important to ensure society is productive.
The topic will be addressed at a lecture from Dr. Terrence Farrell at the Scarborough Library Facility, Ann Mitchell-Gift Auditorium on Thursday April 21 at 5 p.m.
The event is being hosted by the Tobago Library Services in commemoration of World Book and Copyright Day 2016, and is open to the public. The topic discussed will be “Productivity during an Economic Downturn in an Underachieving Society”.
World Book and Copyright Day, celebrated annually on April 23, is supported by UNESCO. It promotes reading, publishing and the protection of intellectual property through copyright.
Dr Farrell is the author of the book “The Underachieving Society: Development Policy and Strategy in Trinidad and Tobago (1958- 2008). He is a former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago.
