Water taxis sail eight times tomorrow

The National Infrastructure Development Company Limited (NIDCO) in partnership with the Ministry of Works and Transport wishes to advise the Nation’s commuters that the Water Taxi Service commenced commercial operation on Tuesday 30th January, 2008.

The service will be between San Fernando and Port of Spain and back. Tickets can be purchased at a cost of $15.00 (one way) at the two Water Taxi Service terminals located at, Flatrock, Lady Hailes Avenue, San Fernando and at the Cruise Ship Complex, Port of Port of Spain. The sailing schedule for the period: December 31st 2008 and January 02nd 2009 is as follows:

San Fernando Schedule (Interim)

Departure from San Fernando: 6:00am and 7:00am
Departure from San Fernando: 3:15pm and 4:15pm

Port of Spain Schedule (Interim)

Departure from Port of Spain:  7:15am and 8:15am
Departure from Port of Spain:  4:30pm and 5:30pm

On January 01st, 2009 being a public holiday there would be no sailings of the Water Taxi Service.

A full service schedule for the month of January 2009 will be published in the weekend newspapers.
