Minister of State in the Ministry of Planning, Housing and the Environment the Honourable Senator Tina Gronlund-Nunez
The First-Generation Trinidadian, born in Vistabella, where she also attended Primary School. Tina Gronlund-Nuňez then went on to attend the prestigious Naparima Girls’ High School. Thereafter she attended the University of Denver Colorado, USA, where she attained her Bachelor’s Degree in Bio-Chemistry. Because of her love for San Fernando and the people of Trinidad, she returned home and opened her own Business in Scientific Supplies, while still remaining close to her home community. Throughout her various careers Tina Gronlund-Nuňez has been involved with :- • Petroleum Women’s Club • Naparima Girls’ High School Alumnae • The Vistabella Community Council Board • Point-a-Pierre Wildfowl Trust as a member • South West Regional Health Authority Board • San Fernando City Council as the local government representative for Marabella South / Vistabella, where she served as the Chairman of the Planning, Urban Development Committee • She is the Chairman of the San Fernando East Constituency, a member of the General Council and the Central Executive of the People’s National Movement; and also the former Campaign Manager for the Honourable Prime Minister’s Constituency during the last General Elections • A wife and mother of three children, the youngest being 16 months She now serves her country as a Senator in the Upper House, also as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Planning, Housing and the Environment Senator the Honourable Tina Gronlund-Nuňez |
