MR. GARY HUNT, MP

Hon. Mr. Gary Hunt is a detailed, meticulous and progressive entrepreneur and management professional with 17 years of expertise and a proven record of accomplishments in business, combined with a keen civic conscience and an active sporting background.

Mr. Hunt was appointed the Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs in November 2007 and currently is the Member of Parliament, under the People’s National Movement, of the constituency of Port of Spain North/St. Ann’s West.

The Honourable Minister attended Queen’s Royal College and was awarded a national scholarship to the Caribbean Air Training Institute, where he qualified as an Avionics Engineer with specialization in Communication, Navigation, Radar and FM systems.

The Honourable Minister’s professional experience includes 7 years as the Avionics Service Engineer at BWIA, and 17 years and counting as the CEO and Director of Radical Designs Limited. For his work with Radical Designs, Minister Hunt was awarded with the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1999.

Minister Hunt is a student of martial arts for 35 years under Professor Don Jacob and has a Black Belt in Donjitsu Ryu. He is also an auto sports enthusiast, and has been behind the wheel of automobiles as well as organizations in this sporting discipline.
