Minister of Health, the Honourable Senator Jerry Narace
Senator the Honourable Jerry Narace currently holds the portfolio of Minister of Health following his appointment both as a Senator and Government Minister on Thursday 8th November, 2007. The Honourable Jerry Narace previously held the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, a position he held from 2002 until 5th November, 2007. During his tenure as Ambassador, the Honourable Jerry Narace had responsibility for Trade and Investment and served as the: :: CARICOM Co-Chair for Bi-lateral Agreements at the Technical Level :: Head of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME) Unit, :: Head of the CARICOM Trade Support Programme (CTSP) :: Chairman of the Latin America Route Development Programme Among his major accomplishments were: the timely implementation of the CARICOM Single Market component of the CSME in Trinidad and Tobago successful conclusion of the CARICOM-Costa Rica Trade Agreement leading several trade and investment missions and other delegations Prior to his appointment as Ambassador in 2002, he served as the Chairman of the Tunapuna/Piarco Regional Corporation. A former businessman who has served on several private and public sector boards, Senator the Honourable Jerry Narace studied accounting and has held careers in banking, insurance and retail. |
