Mohammed Faisal Rahman
September 17, 2012: We have learned with regret and sadness of the passing of a good man, former Opposition Senator Mohammed Faisal Rahman. Senator Rahman was appointed a senator in the 9th Parliament. He first entered Parliament on the 17th December 2007 and debated bills including the Anti-Terrorism (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill, 2010, the Caribbean Court of Justice Headquarters Bill, 2008, the Children’s Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2008, the Family Court Bill, 2009 and the Integrity in Public Life (Amendment) Bill, 2009 among many others, participating in more than 60 debates. He wrote that it was “an honour and a privilege to have served in the Senate.” On behalf of the Government and people of Trinidad and Tobago, I extend sincere condolences to his family on the passing of a dedicated son of the soil. May he rest in peace. Courtesy the Office of the Prime Minister
