Please note the following appointments made acting President, Timothy Hamel-Smith, on May 23, 2012:

It is hereby notified for general information that, under the provisions of section 44 (1) (a) and section 44 (4) (c) of the Constitution of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, the Acting President, Timothy Hamel-Smith, has appointed Dr Lennox Bernard, to be temporarily a member of the Senate, with effect from 23rd May, 2012 and continuing during the absence from Trinidad and Tobago of Senator James Armstrong.
