Please note the following appointments made by Acting President, His Excellency, Timothy Hamel-Smith, on April 17, 2012:

It is hereby notified for general information that the Acting President, acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister, in exercise of the power vested in him by subsection 44 (1) (a) and section 44 (4) (a) of the constitution of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, has appointed KEVIN BHAGALOO, to be temporarily a member of the Senate, with effect from 17th April, 2012 and continuing during the period of absence from Trinidad and Tobago of Senator the Honourable Anand Ramlogan.
