Trinidad and Tobago Government News: Fourth annual Mango festival on July 8 Fourth annual Mango festival on July 8 ================================================================================ 03 July, 2012 12:18:00 July 03, 2012: Exhibitors from across the region, Suriname, Belize, Grenada and Guyana will join local producers to participate in the Ministry of Food Production’s fourth Annual Mango Festival on July 8. This celebration of the diversity and utility of mango will be held at the University of the West Indies' Field Station at Mt Hope. The event will start at 9 am and end at 6 pm. Carded as a day of education and fun with mango, interested persons are encouraged to attend and learn about the 32 varieties of the fruit and see the many ways to use mangoes. Rural women producers will also display their products: tea, soap, beauty products, condiments, ice cream, wine, and much more, all made from mango. Activities at the day's event will include a mango sucking competition, curry mango demonstration, a mango chow competition, horseback riding and much more. Admission to the festival is $10 for adults and $5 for children five years old and up.
