Transforming the MOE: Expanding and Improving Service Delivery
The Ministry of Education (MOE) continues to use Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to improve service delivery to its various publics. The MOE has yet again added to the digital services available to teachers, one of the largest groups of Public Servants. These employees will now be able to access and complete online applications to request transfers. Noteworthy, is the removal of intermediary steps such as commuting to Head Office to apply in person and the loss of man-hours.
The digitization of the teacher transfer form is part of the MOE’s ongoing thrust to digitize processes which include Job Letter Request, Teacher Registration and Application, Recruitment for Contract positions, Applications for position of Heads of Departments and Deans, the School Learning Management System (SLMS) and the Education Management and Information System (EMIS).
As the MOE continues to roll-out its digital services, further information will be made available online and to the national community in the coming weeks.
