RAPP hosts termly staff training for facilitators and coordinators

The Retiree Adolescent Partnership Programme (R.A.P.P) of the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services conducted its termly Staff Training for Facilitators and Coordinators on Friday, January 4th, 2019 at its Head Office at #1 La Fantasie Road, St Ann’s. The training, regularly held ahead of each school term, allows participants to re-engage in their learning, exchange resources, share experiences and solutions, as well as to gauge upcoming plans ahead of the school term.

The training was facilitated by RAPP Coordinator Mrs. Brenda Mc-Cree Hunte. Areas of focus included Methods for Improved Student Learning, Emotional Intelligence, Life Skills Development, Budgeting and Strategic Planning and Management.

The Retiree Adolescent Partnership Programme is a community-oriented Programme under the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services, which utilizes the skills and experience of retired professionals to provide assistance, building values and life skills as well as supervision to children and young people. 

The RAP Programme, which targets young persons between 11 to 21 years, aims to create a nurturing and disciplined environment, where children can learn and develop in positive, life-changing ways. Persons desirous of gaining more information on the RAP Programme may contact the office at 621-0884.
