NALIS mobile library opens in Blanchisseuse
May 23, 2011: The newest Mobile Library in the NALIS fleet was launched on Monday at an official ceremony at the Blanchisseuse Community Centre, Recreation Ground Road, Blanchisseuse by the Minister of the Arts and Multiculturalism, Winston Peters.
The new Digital Mobile Library will serve the areas of Grand Riviere, Toco, Blanchisseuse, La Filette, Las Cuevas, Maracas and Carenage. It will provide wireless access to the Internet, online catalogue and electronic databases, books and other material for all ages, air conditioning, automatic lifts for wheelchairs and washroom facilities.
NALIS's Mobile Library Service offers a lending service to rural areas where there are no established Public Libraries.
