Minister of Planning and CDA meet Guave Road farmers’ representatives

The Honourable Minister of Planning and Development, Camille Robinson-Regis; the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Joanne Deoraj and a team from the Chaguaramas Development Authority (CDA) led by the CDA’s Legal Counsel Mr. Michael Quamina met with legal representatives of the Guave Road Farmers on Tuesday July 31st, 2018.

Coming out of the discussions, agricultural leases have been put on the table with respect to Guave Road farmers.

Further discussions are to be had in order to arrive at an amicable resolution to this long outstanding matter.

Minister  Robinson-Regis is assuring the general public and those directly involved that the Ministry of Planning and Development and the CDA, which falls under the Ministry’s remit, is determined to collaborate with all parties involved to bring about the best possible solution for everyone.
