January 14, 2015: I am deeply saddened by the passing of Brother Anum Bankole, who has served the National Joint Action Committee (NJAC) and by extension the national community selflessly for the past forty-five (45) years.

Mr. Bankole has served NJAC in several capacities including that of Vice President. He was always very community oriented, and also served the organization as Community Relations Officer with distinction for a number of years.

Our nation has lost a dedicated and devoted stalwart who epitomized the qualities of caring, commitment and sacrifice in giving forty-five (45) years of unstinting and selfless service to his nation and his people.

His love of the arts, his love of sports and his love of people have made this country a richer, healthier and more compassionate place for all of us.

I wish to extend sincere condolences to his family and all those who shared his life and aspirations.
