Culture Ministry collaborates with Glensdale Sport and Cultural Club to celebrate their 60th Anniversary
December 6, 2016: On Saturday November 19, 2016 the St. George East Administrative District partnered with the Glensdale Sport and Cultural Club to host a Community Health Fair in commemoration of their 60th Anniversary. The event was held at Rose Park in Arima (off Pro Queen Street).
Minister of Community Development Culture and the Arts Dr the Honourable Nyan Gadsby Dolly attended the Fair, along with Susan Corbett, Director, Community Development Division; Mayor of Arima Alderman George Hadeed; Community Development Officer II Caroni District, Merlin Remy and members from other NGO’s in the St. George East Administrative District.
The audience witnessed the unveiling of a monument at the entrance of the savannah at the corner of Pro Queen Street and Robinson Circular, before visiting the various booths and accessing services such as HIV testing, blood pressure testing, vision screening, dental health and other information. The Honourable Minister also participated in testing services provided.
Approximately two hundred (200) members of the public visited the Fair throughout the evening.

The Ministry was pleased to partner with the Glensdale Sport and Cultural Club in hosting this Heath Fair aimed at enlightening members of the public on how to lead healthy lifestyles.
